Marilyn von Hoenning, originally from the USA, ventured abroad after earning her Master of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University SAIS, finding a new home in Germany.
In her illustrious career spanning three decades, Marilyn has navigated various roles in sales and marketing within the IT industry, with the last seven years dedicated to pioneering efforts in Cyber Security. However, her professional journey is just one facet of her multifaceted commitment to making a difference.
Driven by empathy and a sense of duty, Marilyn has immersed herself in humanitarian endeavors, lending her expertise to support Ukraine through various relief organizations, both in Germany and her homeland. Her experiences have not only broadened her perspective but also fueled her passion for making meaningful contributions to global issues.
In 2022, Marilyn expanded her scope of impact by engaging in local environmental initiatives like Food Savers, recognizing the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability and humanitarian welfare. This commitment culminated in her co-founding of GreenUnity Ukraine alongside Stanislav in November 2023, a response to the pressing need to address the dire environmental and humanitarian fallout of Russia’s invasion in 2022.
Her dedication to effecting change on a global scale was further evidenced by her participation in her first United Nations conference on environmental and business issues in 2024, where her insights and experiences were invaluable contributions to the discourse.
